    Cookies

    What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site, generally in order to make the website operational, store the user preferences, or gather analytics data.

How does this website use cookies?

authorscontracts.eu only use one operational cookie named JSESSIONID, which allows to maintain a secure session for you, during your visit. It is stored when you log in or sign up to the website, using our authentication service (and when you do this, you already accepted the present privacy policy). This is a first-party session cookie that is deleted after you quit your browser.

Why isn't there a banner asking me to allow cookies?

Since this only cookie is used for authentication and operational purposes, it does not require user consent. Other kind of cookies like user preferences cookies or analytics data cookies generally do require it, but none of them are in use on this website.

    How can I remove cookies?

You can delete all cookies that are already on your device by clearing the browsing history of your browser. This will remove all cookies from all websites you have visited. Be aware though that you may also lose some saved information (e.g. saved login details, site preferences).
You can also set most modern browsers to prevent any cookies being placed on your device, but you may then have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site/page. And some services and functionalities may not work properly at all (e.g. profile logging-in).
